An Australian fitness coach has become a social media sensation, after recreating iconic fast food at home, for a fraction of the calories.
Bec Hardgrave has created ‘fakeaway’ recipes for menu items hailing from Grill’d, Red Rooster, McDonalds, Domino’s, Boost Juice, Starbucks and KFC. And they have us salivating!
The qualified health and fitness coach has amassed a following of more than 70,000 followers on TikTok and almost 80,000 on Instagram with her healthy hacks for fast food favourites. Here’s a look at some of her most popular recipes:
Grill’d Fakeaway
Usually the popular Summer Sunset regular burger meal at Grill’d is more than 1200 calories, but Bec’s version, with ingredients from Woolworths, is just over 600 calories. And that includes chips!
Bec also makes a fakeaway version of the Grill’d Sweet Chilli Chicken burger, which comes in at 435 calories. And she’s also mastered the famous (and delicious) Grill’d chips, using frozen chips cooked in an airfryer and a combination of herbs. They’re just 146 calories – YUM!
McDonalds Fakeaway
Of course, Bec had to tackle the golden arches, recreating a McDonalds Big Mac burger using ingredients from ALDI. It comes in at 420 calories, with 30g of protein.

She also whipped up a Maccas Filet-O-Fish and a McChicken burger using ALDI ingredients.
Red Rooster Fakeaway
More recently Bec has taken on Red Rooster’s Flayva Wrap, making it for just under 500 calories using ALDI ingredients.
Bec has also managed to hack McDonalds Tim Tam Hotcakes, the Boost Juice Mango Magic Smoothie, the KFC Twister and Betty’s Burgers.
