VB will be offering free beer to customers at participating venues across the country this Sunday between 2pm an 4pm on May 26.

The promotion is called ‘Our Shout’ and will be giving out one free drink to people 18 years and over.

‘There’s been a lot of talk over the last few months,’ the VB website reads.

‘While we don’t know what’s coming next, we do know this. It’s the start of another week and it’s time to get back to doing what we do best: working hard.

‘That’s the only way we are going to push this country forward.

‘For everyone ready to get on with the job of making Australia a better place, it’s our shout.’

  • Missed out on this – good job I don’t like beer.

  • VB isn’t worth drinking even if free

  • How can they be sure that people only get the one free drink? Not one in my area but that doesn’t matter, I don’t drink alcohol anyway.

  • People do not need to be encouraged to drink more alcohol as a nation there is already too much consumption. It will mean they will be busy and most likely run out!

  • Not a beer drinker so not worried about this promotion at all.

  • I no longer drink at all and I’m proud to say I am not sad to miss out on this one. I might pass it on to some people though.

  • With the tougher penalties let’s hope this one extra doesn’t send anyone over the limit

  • Have to tell my hub about this 🙂

  • How are the venues going to keep a record of all people they serve? It also means that every person is going to have to line up at the bar. Otherwise a person can get more than one free one. Some will probably get their free one, have more money in their possession then buy more than they should. The Police will be busy with numerous RBT stations.
