Ingredients

  • 250g Caramello chocolate
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 75g butter
  • 100g bran
  • 100g bag Mini Eggs

Method

  1. Line a 12-hole muffin tray with paper cases.
  2. Melt the Caramello chocolate and butter together.
  3. Add bran to a large bowl.
  4. Pour in the melted choc, butter and agave syrup and mix until coated.
  5. Spoon evenly into the cases and create a small well in the centre.
  6. Add 3 Mini Eggs to each nest.

Place in the fridge for 1–2 hours or the freezer for 30 minutes, until set.
  • I really do like these yummy nests for Easter treats and also am happy to apply them to other celebrations and events. They can easily be modified for themed birthday parties and they will be a winner for Halloween with themed and spooky sweet treats to go into the nests.

  • I really do love cooking for special times such as Easter and Christmas because of the themed food. I love to make sweet and savoury treats with the family and everyone enjoys eating sweet chocolate treats. These caramello easter egg nests look pretty and also delicious; perfect to eat at Easter and anytime.

  • Very cute idea. I have been looking for some baking ideas to do with my daughter in the lead up to Easter. We are having a few of her friends over for an Easter get together and these sound fun to make, for her and her friends to enjoy over Easter.

  • These look so cute! I love the use of the speckled eggs- they always look so pretty! I am not so sure about the use of the bran, but it does make a convincing nest- probably makes them a little healthier too. Not sure what agave syrup is either. But I love the idea.

  • These are always cute and present very nice. Of course you can make these with any type of chocolate. I prefer to use an organice low or no sugar added chocolate. I also prefer to make them in small silicon cases as at times it can be hard to remove them from paper cases
