Ssshhhh…it’s a secret! But not for long! KFC has revealed that the lastest item on its “secret menu” is the mega-double-decker Hot or Not Burger.

This new big mouthful burger is a scrumptious combo of KFC’s Zinger fillet and the Original Recipe fillet – sandwiched together with KFC’s signature accompaniments and soft bun.

The fast-food giant has put the two favourites together for those fans who want a bit of Zinger heat, but don’t want to go the whole hog (or should we say chicken!).

Cool Down The Spice

Kristi Woolrych, KFC Australia’s chief marketing officer, says that the two fillets are topped off “with a winning combo of fiery supercharged sauce, mayo, cheese, bacon and lettuce….we’re onto a winner!”

“We know how much our fans love a Zinger Burger, but not everyone’s tastebuds can commit to its spiciness. And so the Hot or Not is for those keen to spice things up but only by a little bit,” she continued.

The aim of the new creation is for the original fillet and mayo to help cool down the spice hit of the Zinger and sauce.

KFC’s secret menu can only be accessed via the KFC app and will eventually include 11 exclusive secret items.

How To See The Secret Menu

To access the secret menu, you need to download the KFC app, select your nearest store, tap “order”, and when the menu appears, drag the screen down.

As you drag down, a small cartoon Colonel Sanders appears. All you need to do is hold still for 11 seconds and the secret menu option pops up.

“Discover unreleased treats that have never seen the light of day — until now. The menu is updated regularly, so keep checking back,” the description at the top of the menu reads.

What’s On the Secret Menu

At the time of writing, there are three items on the Secret Menu:

1) Hot or Not Burger for $8.95
You’ve got a Zinger fillet and fiery supercharged sauce on one hand….and an Original Recipe fillet with mayo to balance it out. Plus cheese, bacon and fresh lettuce to top it all off.

2) Slida Stacker for $8.95
Get two juicy Zinger fillets, fresh lettuce, supercharged sauce and aioli stacked between 3 fluffy flatbreads

3) Pop N Twister for $5.95
Popcorn chicken, fresh lettuce, corn salsa, mayo and supercharged sauce all wrapped up in a fluffy warm tortilla.

The KFC secret menu is available at all participating stores Australia-wide for the rest of 2019.
