Marvel Universe Live Succumbs To Coronavirus Fears And Has Been Cancelled

Even our superheroes aren’t immune to Coronavirus! We are devastated that the entire Australia tour of Marvel Universe Live has been cancelled.

The organisers of the much-anticipated action-packed Superhero show have released a statement on their social media pages and website saying:

“The health and safety of everyone attending our live events as well as our touring personnel is our top priority. Due to the increasing spread of COVID-19 and expanding restrictions on domestic and international travel, and in accordance with national, state and local governments prohibiting large group gatherings, Marvel Universe Live! is making adjustments to its tour schedules.”

“Marvel Universe LIVE! scheduled to tour Australia from March 26 to April 27, 2020 has been cancelled!”

Full Refund

The tour organisers have assured customers that all purchased tickets will receive a full refund.

“Tickets purchased by credit or debit card will be refunded in full (including ticket insurance premium and refundable ticket purchase, if relevant) and patrons do not need to take any action. Patrons should allow approximately 20 working days for the refund to appear in their account,” a statement read.

Will They Be Back?

Hundreds of disappointed fans have taken to the Marvel Universe Live facebook page pleading with the organisers to consider postponing the tour rather than a complete cancellation.

“Please reschedule to come back to Australia! So many kids want to still see this show (and adults),” said one.

“Hope you can come back to Aus, haven’t broken then news to Mr 9 yet as it was apart of his bday present and we were so looking forward to it,” said another.

“I do hope that once this is all over you will be able to bring the show to Australia. My son is going to be very disappointed when I tell him we can’t go.”

My kids (and hubby) are all into Marvel and I was hoping to take them along. I really feel for all of the companies who have been affected by the cancellations.

This is just another show added to the list of cancellations. I’m waiting on a few refunds for various shows. We’re all in the same boat.

I asked them to have a recording to say that they had to go fight bad guys! So us as parents don’t have such a hard time delivering the terrible news at this hard time.

The list of cancellations grows daily and will no doubt continue. It does make sense at this time to cancel shows and other events.

Wow! Completely cancelled? They could have delayed it indefinitely, this virus will end eventually. So many were looking forward to seeing this (most of which were adults!). Yes, we need to take extra precautions, but cancelling fully, with no discussion on whether or not it will show here is rather disappointing!
