Well hey if they have the money for that sort of thing and hopefully used losts of businesses to pull off the amazing affair then go for it but the 1yr old wont remember it at all.
If this is the first birthday imagine what the wedding would look like.

The whole family could have gone for a cruise to somewhere like Fiji for less that this party cost.
I would rather have put the money aside for the birthday girl’s education or sports activities in the future. It is not as though the birthday girl will remember the party. I hope the parents weren’t fools enough to put this on credit cards

Wow. Well I suppose she does say it’s for them as they don’t get out much…..but how on earth do you have 50 odd friends to invite if that’s the case. I’d love to have the finances available that she has but I’m doubtful I’d spend it on a 1yo party, more like……a car perhaps? Makes you wonder what the kids will expect at 16, or 18, etc and will the finances hold.
Beautiful photos though. She definitely has a flair.

My goodness this 1yr olds birthday was more lavish than my wedding. As I reflect on some of the birthdays I had as a child and then look at the average party today. I begin to wonder if it’s really for the benefit of the children.

Nice this family has so much money they can throw such a party.
Personally I couldn’t account for that and it would be irresponsible to spend our money in this way.
I’ve done big parties though, but still very simple and at low costs.

Whilst it looks beautiful, I would say more money than sense. A one year old has no memory of, nor really cares too much about their first birthday. They still need their nap and just want to be fed on cue. It’s more about the adults and less about the kids. The cost of this party is so excessive, it’s sickening. Good on them for having this amount of disposable cash, but in a world where many people are homeless and living from week to week, it’s just showy and excessive.

I really can’t understand anyone spending that sort of money on any birthday party let alone a first birthday, if I had that sort of money I would put it in an account for the childs education, as you never no what the future holds. Not my money though, so they can do what they want no matter what I or anyone else thinks.

My kids have a party, either at the local park, pizza place, play area every alternate year with their friends. The parties usually have a cap for the number of invitees and a set budget. Everyone’s different I suppose.

Each to their own, glad she has the money to spend on these type of parties. As for me simple ones are all I can afford.

Way too much to spend on a child’s birthday party at any age. But as the old saying goes, a fool and their money are soon parted. Guess if that’s what floats you boat, but I would never do this even if I had loads of money.

I could never ever justify spending this amount of money on a party or on any event – always kept budgets to a minimum for parties and we had a low cost wedding. Prefer to spend money on other things. But we are all different and all spend money in different ways.

Had I not read the heading I would have thought it was an Engagement Party or a Wedding and that the bride had a passion for pink. I have to agree with other people that is a lot of money for a baby’s birthday party.

It’s their business, their children, their money and their decision. We don’t do lavish, just memorable and try to mix it up every year. I’ll bet they filmed it for their child to watch many times over at a later stage. Also that party looks amazing.

Too bad her kids won’t remember it. Seems like a huge waste of money to me when some people can’t even afford to buy their child a simple gift. Way over the top.

That’s a lot of money for any party let alone for a one year olds birthday but it’s up to them what they do. To me it’s way overboard but to each their own.

I think its too far fetched but all the best to them.

Hmmm… my most extravagant was my son’s 5th birthday party at home with a footy theme. 25x 5-6 year olds, all activities and games were footy based with gifts/party bags relevant to each child’s footy team. Never again though. It was chaos. Loud, too many, loud, not so much fun for me!!
