  • There are just so many beautiful names on the list. Names like Edna & Myrtle are just so cute on a baby and so much nicer than many modern made up names. Classic is the way to go in my book. I have to say the photo with the article is perfect too.

I think they are more classic rather than old fashioned though, or rather just names you don’t hear very often these days due to there being a lot of originality coming through with babies names these past few years. Either way, still very beautiful names. Personally, I went for more traditional cultural names for my kids.

  • My daughter’s name is there… I think some of these are classic rather than old fashioned. And there are a few there that I hate. But I think that’s normal; no name is going to be liked by abolutely everyone, and that’s why we have such a glorious variety of names.

  • There are some really beautiful names in there. I think more people should be looking at these names instead of trying to invent their own. There are still plenty of more unusual names here that are really pretty like Ainsley or Calista. Those are some cute names that should make a come back!

  • Aw what a gorgeous baby in the picture at the top of this article and I love her headband ( I could wear it myself;) ). I must admit that I myself am not the biggest fan of old fashioned baby names, but some of the names in this list are nice. My sisters name was Ada and is in the list and although the article says the names in this list are less common, Ada is a very common name in the Netherlands.

  • They are old fashioned yet something about these names are just beautiful! I love these sorts of names as i feel overtime they still age well. You cant go wrong when choosing something classic that your daughter can grow into as she gets older. Not to mention, easier for them to say and spell too!

  • I always love reading these kinds of articles. This year I can see my daughters name is on the list. This is the first time i have seen it. In the past my daughters name hasn’t been hugely popular however it is becoming more and more common these days and I come across a few parents who have chosen the same name.

  • The names of our children often make it to many name lists. We chose their names when they were born and really did not consider even if they were popular or not or made any lists. We looked at each child and then the name just materialised and fit them perfectly.

    I have twin girls Penelope and Melody and an older girl named Macey. ❤️
    I love the olden style names personally as my name is Danni and I have spent my life spelling it 😅 I also chose traditional spelling for the same reason.

  • It really is such a joy when it is time to choose a name for a child. We were on the same page when it came to choosing names for our children and it was always a very easy decision. We chose names that are old school and unique to each child too.
