A sweet apple sauce recipe which kids love.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 Granny smith Apple
  • Splash Balsamic Vinegar
  • 40g butter
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Method

  1. This sauce can be made while your pork is cooking.
  2. Melt butter in pan.
  3. Peel, core and slice apple.
  4. Add all ingredients to butter and simmer to soften apples for about 10 minutes.
  5. Arrange apples over pork and pour over the juices.

  • Why would anyone waste their time in making this apple sauce. It may be very nice but just buy a jar of baby apples and you have the same taste, less hassle and no where near as expensive

  • Normally just stew apple to make apple sauce. Think I’ll get more adventurous and try this. Thanks.
