Easy fun and mostly healthy food, to serve with a smile.

Ingredients

  • Red apples
  • Peanut Butter
  • Mini Marshmallows

Method

  1. Cut apples into narrow slices, you should get around 14 slices per apple.
  2. Spread about 1/2-teaspoon of peanut butter on two apple slices.
  3. Place marshmallows along one of the apple slices and sandwich a second apple slice on top of it, leaving the marshmallows in the middle.
  4. Serve immediately, with a smile of course.

Notes

If concerned about apples browning, then I recommend dipping the apple slices into lemon juice and pat off excess juice before using.

  • These are adorable. You could also make them sugar free by substituting the marshmallows for nuts.

    • If you are giving to young children I certainly wouldn’t put nuts in them.
The white marshmallow is the “teeth”. You could reduce the size of the marshmallows though.
You could also reduce the Peanut Butter just a little bit. It most likely has sugar in it too.
