This smoothie is great for a quick breakfast or an after school snack.


Ingredients (makes 2 large glasses)

  • 1 large or 2 small ripe bananas chopped
  • 1 & 1/2 cups lite milk
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup vanilla yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon oats
  • 2 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender/smoothie maker and blend for at least 15 seconds.
  2. Drizzle a little extra honey on top if desired.

  • Peanut butter interesting, not my usual ingredient for smoothies. Must give this a try maybe frozen banana for that thick feeling, my toddlers love eating smoothies with their spoon straw.

  • Adding penut butter is a new idea for me but a cool idea. I reckon some other fruits would go too like blueberries (but we add that to everything )
