So very quick and easy and a very forgiving recipe – you can also cook in different shapes – photo is of my attempt at santa…..

Ingredients (makes 24 biscuits)

  • 1/2 Cup Butter (room temp)
  • 1/4 Cup Caster Sugar
  • 1 Cup All purpose flour

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar
  2. Gradually add flour
  3. Take a spoonful at a time, roll into a ball. Place on trays a few centimetres apart. Flatten slightly. Press your thumb to make an indentation and add whatever your like - a spoonful of jam, or a chocolate drop, or a nut - these will take whatever you put on them. Bake at 325F for about 10 minutes - til just going golden.

Notes

I put them in a mason jar with a pretty cover for a lid for presents
