These twice cooked chips are quick, easy and super delicious

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • some oil to coat the frypan
  • pinch salt

Method

  1. Cut your potatoes into chip shapes and microwave for approximately 4 minutes or until becoming tender.
  2. Take chips out of the microwave and pat dry with paper towel.
  3. Fry in the pan until golden and crispy.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and enjoy.

  • Great idea. I’m always trying to cook them in the oven but they never work. This way they’ll get crispy without having to deep fry – great!

  • I don’t have a microwave, so I par boil the potato wedges instead.

  • Tried this a few times – must leave the potatoes in the microwave too long – mine come out mushy and don’t fry well at all.
