  • 1 pinch baking powder

Method

Notes

I love to make this whenever I am having a sweet tooth moment! This recipe serves 2 but feel free to eat the whole thing all by yourself!

  • This looks super quick and easy which I love but I have to wonder how sweet it would be with just banana fir sweetening? I guess it would depend in how ripe the banana was.. regardless im keen to give this a go and see because it’s a great healthy recipe.

  • Mug cakes are usually so sweet. I love that this ‘bowl’ cake uses banana instead for sweetness. I’ll show this to my teenagers and see if they like this one.

  • This would indeed be a rich cake, maybe served with a scoop of ice cream.

  • I fail to see why this recipe needs salt in it. I’m thinking this recipe is suitable for people with Diabetes……until I saw the salt. Some Diabetics get very ill if they have salt.

  • Tried this recipe today. I was worried because it doesn’t contain any flour, however the cocoa powder was sufficient. If I make this again it will be with a really mushy over-ripe banana as that would add a little more sweetness. Today’s result was a little too dark chocolate tasting for my liking. However diabetics & celiacs might like to give it a try. Tip: use a little of the coconut oil to grease the microwave safe bowl before pouring in the mixture.
