This is a simple chocolate slice recipe for a naughty treat once in a while.


Ingredients (serves 8)

  • 150g Melted butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Beaten egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Plain flour
  • 1/3 cup Self raising flour
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup Shredded coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups Icing sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp Boiling water

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees (fan forced). Mix melted butter, sugar, beaten egg and vanilla.
  2. Sift flours and cocoa powder over wet ingredients and mix. Bake in oven on 180 (fan forced) for 25-30mins.
  3. Mix all icing ingredients to make a thick paste, ice while slightly warm and sprinkle shredded coconut on top.

  • Sounds delish!
    Will skip the coconut as I’m not a fan but the slice itself sounds amazing. Will have to try it out this coming weekend.

  • I’m craving chocolate now after seeing the picture of this chocolate slice recipe. Yummy I would like to tr and make this on the upcoming long weekend. I bet my children will love it. I have all the ingredients at home so it sounds perfect.
