A healthy and quick snack

Ingredients (serves 3)

  • 3-4 stems Kale
  • Olive Oil spray
  • Pint Salt and pepper (optional)

Method

  1. Wash the kale and dry them with a paper towel or use a salad spinner. It is crucial that the kale are dry to ensure optimal result. Tear the kale into pieces and put the in a big bowl.
  2. Spray olive oil evenly on all the leaves. Add salt and pepper if you like. I did not and I can vouch that the kale chips still taste awesome :)
  3. Preheat the oven to 350 F and bake for 12 mins. No longer or the kale chips will burn and will taste bitter.
  4. Enjoy!

Notes

Many kale chips recipe says you should de-stem that kale but I did not because it seems like such a waste. I was okay to eat the stem along but some might find it too hard. If that is the case, just remove the stems after baking. They tear off very easily.

  • I’ve actually tried these and they were quite good so I’ll give these a go. Thanks for the recipe.

  • I grew kale in my veggie patch. No matter how I cooked it, it was strong flavoured. I definitely remove the stems as they are hard and woody
