Everybody loves a good guacamole, whether its in a taco, on a corn chip or on top of a jacket potato. Quick, easy and healthy!

Ingredients (makes 1 bowl)

  • 2 ripe avocados peeled and halved (keep the stones)
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 ripe tomato
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 small fresh chili, with stem and seeds removed, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Natural yoghurt
  • to taste Coarse salt and ground pepper

Method

  1. Place the avocado flesh in a bowl and mash with a fork till there are only a few chunks left
  2. Add the chopped onion and tomatoes, crushed garlic, lime juice, and chilies, and mix through with a fork
  3. Stir in the yoghurt
  4. Taste and season with salt and pepper
  5. add tabasco sauce for an extra kick if you like it spicy

Notes

Leave the avocado stone in the dip until it is ready to serve to prevent the avocado turning brown. Sour cream can also be used as an alternative to the natural yoghurt. Serve with corn chips, wedges or sliced carrots
