This is a great alternative to commercial bought energy bars – high in energy & super foods , low in fat & sugar. A great lunchbox snack or for when you are too busy to sit & eat breakfast
Ingredients (serves 24)
- 4 very ripe bananas
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 2 cups oats
- 3/4 cups quinoa
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 cup linseed
- 1/4 cup dried shredded coconut
- 4 tbsp Nestle Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 80 grams NESTLE BAKERS' CHOICE dark or milk chocolate melts
Method
- Blend the bananas with the dates & coconut oil till you have a chunky puree. Combine this with the remaining ingedients.
- Press this into a 9 x 13 pan that has been lined with baking paper. Bake 160 degrees for 45 mins
- When slice has cooled , remove from pan & drizzle with NESTLE BAKERS' CHOICE milk or dark chocolate melts
