As a breastfeeding mum with a daughter who has a dairy allergy I have had to stop consuming dairy. Finding sweet treats is very difficult. I found a sugar free hot cocoa powder (which tastes amazing) that is all cocoa powder not milk solids, and when mixed with coconut yoghurt (I prefer Aldi’s cocolicious) it actually tastes like a chocolate mousse. Plus it’s so much healthier than a regular chocolate mouse.

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • Coconut yoghurt
  • Chocolate drink powder

Method

  1. Mix 1/4 cup of yoghurt with 1 tblsp of chocolate drink powder. Make sure it's fully combined.
  2. Enjoy!!

Notes

1/4 cup yoghurt to 1 tblsp chocolate drink powder works well for my ingredients. More powder is more chocolate so adjust as needed. Top with fresh Berries for extra deliciousness

  • I need these sort of recipes for a grandson with allergies but I just can’t seem to love coconut yoghurt but I might get him to try it, you never know.

  • Oh yeah, but nah, it’s not a chocolate mousse. Greek yoghurt is not like cream and drinking chocolate is far from real chocolate. Sorry, but I’ll skip this one
