Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout, down came the rain and washed poor incy out, out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain, so incy wincy spider climbed up the spout again.

Ingredients (makes 4 )

  • 4 scoops vanilla ice-cream
  • 1L bottle cold soft drink of choice

Method

  1. Chill 4 large glasses.
  2. Pour soft drink into glasses.
  3. Spoon 1 scoop ice-cream into each glass. Drink immediately!

Notes

Tips - For a healthier version without the fizz, replace soft drink with fruit juice. Pour leftover soft drink into ice-block moulds and freeze to eat later. For an alternative drink, mix equal parts cranberry juice with lemonade or soda water, then add chopped fruit such as apples, oranges and strawberries.

  • Oh yum. I haven’t had one of these since I was a kid. Thanks for the reminder. I’m sure my kids would live to give this a go. Not the healthiest recipe around but definitely a very tasty occasional treat.
