The colour of the meat is deep red and the chicken gets a lovley char colour and flavour from cooking. Its tastes authentic.
Ingredients (serves 6)
- 12 pieces chicken (bone in) skin on
- 2 cups yogurt
- 4 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp tumeric
- 4cm piece ginger (grated)
- 1 1/2 tsp fine red chilli powder
- 1 1/2 tsp garam masala (powder)
- 1 tbsp tandoori powder
- 6 tsp apple cider vinegar
Method
- Mix all the ingredients together and then place in a baking dish skin side up. spray the top with some olive oil spray. cook low and slow 160 degrees c. For 1hour. then turn the oven up to 220 degrees c. For 15-20 minutes to elget a bit of char. serve with basmati rice,flavoured with lots of butter, a little salt, cummin and a touch of tumeric. and enjoy the taste of india!!
