Wholesome food for the bub!

Ingredients (serves 5)

  • 1/4 Whole pumpkin including skin and seeds

Method

  1. Cook the whole pumpkin including skin and seeds in a slowcooker for 4 hours.
  2. Blend well and serve.

Notes

Including pumpkin skin and seeds in the puree increase the nutrient amount tremendously. After blending them together the puree becomes so smooth and you can barely notice the skin and seeds. This is how I give my bub her pumpkin :) Hope you guys like it!

  • I was worried about the seeds till I saw your note.

  • Pumpkin is a well known first veggie for baby to try. Just a little bit sweet to tempt their taste buds

  • Interesting. I’m sure there would be lots of leftovers to freeze or add other veggies to for another day

  • Good thinking to include the entire pumpkin. This will make a better pumpkin soup for the whole family as well as baby’s purée: )
