A great healthy breakfast for on the go, with so many flavour combinations

Ingredients (makes 5 individual jars worth)

  • 1 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 Cup Tropical Juice (or juice of your choice)
  • 1 Cup Greek Yoghurt
  • 1/2 to 3?4 cup Chopped dried apricots
  • Cinnamon
  • Vanilla bean paste
  • Blueberries
  • Grated apple (optional)
  • Raspberries (optional)
  • Pepitas (Optional)
  • coconut (Optional)

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Divide into individual glass jars, and leave in fridge overnight to thicken.
  3. Serve! Easy!

Notes

As long as you keep the 1,1,1 ratio base of yoghurt, juice & oats, you can add many different seeds, nuts or fruits to this to suit your tastes! This keeps in the fridge for 5 days. I use old jam jars to make mine in

  • That is easy on the go indeed !

    • And beautiful healthy ingredients except for the juice

  • Sounds delicious. I will give it a go. I have been buying the premixed ones where you just add milk, but this sounds better, and knowing everything that goes into the mix is great.

  • Thank you for this idea, so easy and great for those busy morning. Will start saving jam jars for these. One thing for sure they will be safe from prying hands.

    • Free jars can also be found on buy, swap and sell pages – I was given a big box of free and pretty jars by someone cleaning out their kitchen and I use them for jam and chutney.
