Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500 gram beef mince
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tbls curry powder
  • 1 cup fruit chutney
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • rice or pasta to serve

Method

  1. Brown mince in a lightly oiled pan, with onion and curry powder.
  2. Add chutney, water and vegetables. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Serve with rice or pasta.

  • Not sure this appeals to me, but it’s a simple recipe for those who like curries.

  • None of the fruit chutneys have been sweet as the vinegar and other ingredients makes the flavour almost like tomato chutney.
