Quick and easy rice with a difference!


Ingredients (serves 8)

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 Birds nest pasta
  • 2 cups Water
  • Pinch Salt

Method

  1. Wash rice.
  2. Heat oil in pot. Crumble birds nest in your hands and place in pot. Cook until golden brown. Turn off heat and rest for 1 minute.
  3. Add salt, rice and water to pot and bring to the boil. Simmer for 12-14 minutes until soft

  • What is birds nest pasta? Sounds interesting, but I think I would add in some seasonings as well

  • Why would you cook pasta with rice? Surely one of the other is enough carbs in a meal. There’s not even any yummy flavourings in it
