A very quick easy tasty salad to have with anything… Cheap and very easy to make
Ingredients (serves 6 | makes 6 )
- Half A wombok it's a Chinese cabbage finly shredded
- 1 med Carrot. Grated
- 2 sticks Celery finely chopped
- 2 Pink lady apples peeled and finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons White vingar
- 6 Spring /green onions thinly sliced on the diagonal
- 1/2 cup Roughy chopped parley
- 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup Whole egg mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 2 tablespoons Apple cider vingar
- Pinch Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Place cabbage ,carrot ,celery,apple,and vinegar in a large bowl mix well.
- Add the spring onions and parsley ,sprinkle over sesame seeds
- Chill in fridge covered until ready to serve.
- Now in a jar add whole egg mayonnaise 1/4 cup of melted honey Apple cider vinegar place lid on jar make sure sealed now shake the jar for three min or until really well mixed
- Pour dressing over salad and mix really well rue hill until ready to serve. Add salt and pepper to taste just before serving
Notes
I keep this without the dressing mixed through in my fridge in a air tight container up to three days .. It's beautiful serve with fish or steak chicken .. I have cooked chicken and slice it up and served it through this salad also. ... I love meals that are healthy and easy. , you can do with cabbage but the Chinese cabbage the wombok gives it a softer flavour .. More likening to children's taste. ...
