Clean strawberry chia jam without the rubbish


Ingredients (serves 10)

  • 2 cups Ripe strawberries
  • 2 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp Rice malt syrup

Method

  1. Place strawberries in a blender and pulse until chopped. Add chia and rice malt syrup.
  2. Transfer to a small pan and slowly bring to boil. Reduce and allow to simmer on low for 10 minutes.
  3. Place in a sterilised jar In the fridge.

Notes

This recipe is one of our favourites and great on gluten free toast.

  • I have made chia seed jam before, but I used blackberries, not strawberries. It was delicious, healthy, but it doesn’t have a long shelf life. So it’s good to make in small quantities

  • Great recipe but I would use honey it is more natural, rice syrup is over processed and not healthy.
