A good way to add flavour to cheap steak.

Ingredients

  • 6 Small pieces of steak (I use silverside steaks)
  • 1 tablespoon Red Thai curry paste
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Hot chilli sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Minced garlic

Method

  1. In bag put the sauces and garlic and add the meat. Marinate a couple of hours or overnight.
  2. In a frypan cook the marinated steaks.
  3. Enjoy with veggies or salad.

Notes

This is a really easy marinade and adds a lot of flavour. Can also use the steak in sandwiches or cut into strips to use in a stir fry.

  • This sounds way too spicy for me – I’m a real wimp about things like that- but it’s a good recipe for those who don’t mind heat. I could see myself making it as an option for a dinner party, for example. I quite like having a few recipes that don’t suit me, but do guests.

  • Marinated steak is amazing. Makes it so tender.

  • Wow, this may be a bit spicy for my palate but I think hubby would probably really enjoy this as he’s been into chilli as of late.
    Thank you for the idea.
