I prefer to cook my chicken an I find it so more juicy.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 Size 22 uncooked chook

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
  2. Baste chook with soy sauce, salt & pepper.
  3. Place on roasting tray, breast side down in oven & cook for 1 1/2 hours then turn chook. Proceed to cook for an other 30 minutes or until juices run clear.
  4. Cover chicken with foil & let rest for 10 minutes.

Notes

If using smaller chook, cooking time will vary.

  • Must try this recipe, coz I’ve never used soy sauce when roasting a chicken before. Wonder how it would turn out with a bit of honey, garlic and butter as well? Only one way to find out I guess. I’ll give it a go.
