  • Fantastic all rounder

My little girl has the hardest time with nappies as with majority of nappy brands she gets really bad nappy rashes and she becomes upset seeing the nappies, as we are trying to toilet train we have been using pull ups and Cub nappy pants are the one of the only ones that don't cause nappy rashes, it's easy for myself and my little girl to put on and take off, she says they are "comfy" and don't hurt, they fit great and aren't bulky, they can even last overnight which is great.

The price is absolutely amazing, we highly recommend to anyone.

  • So soft!

I have really enjoyed using these nappies. We would normally use another brand at the same price point but these are so much better. They have to be the softest nappies I have felt, I am sure they have changed the way they're made because I haven't liked them previously. We have also had problems with other brands leaking but haven't had any leaks while using these. I will continue to buy these nappies! My todler is running and climbing and we haven't had anything sneak out.

  • Best Nappy Pants!

We've been trying these nappies for a couple of weeks now, for both my son & daughter and they've been nothing short of perfection!

Great size, great quality and easily holds all wees for an overnight 10 hour sleep! I've struggled to find nappies that don't leak overnight & hold alot, but the Cub nappy pants have been the best by far and we've had not 1 leak overnight.

I'm super happy with these and I will continue to buy, these great quality & affordable nappy pants.

  • Park Day Proof

Cub nappies in junior size 6 are a blessing for our park adventures with my daughter! No more leaks or discomfort, just pure fun. These nappies fit perfectly and keep her dry and happy throughout playtime. The numerous trips down the slide and hours of swinging are no match for these nappies. Highly recommend for active little ones!

  • Affordable

I’ve been purchasing cub nappy pants for a little while now and am quite happy with them. First thing I love about them is the price! So affordable and you can actually get 2 different sized pack, a smaller pack for $9.50 and a larger one for $16. Not many brands have the option of larger pack sizes. They are soft and fit snug on my little one without irritating him. I do unfortunately get the occasional leaks overnight which isn’t ideal but I can live with it as it isn’t very often. One thing these nappy pants need is a small tab on the back to be able to fold and secure the nappy once used. They have a super cute design with a little bear which my child loves looking at. The bear has a back and front to help you know which way it goes. I recommend giving these nappy pants a go.

  • Cost effective excellence

Cub nappies are a real surprise. At a reasonable cost, they are reliable for big fees and poos, do not cause nappy rash, and hang on when our little one decides that they want to escape their pants. Due to being Coles "discounted" brand, they are always in stock (unlike other good brands on the toosh). I didn't like them on newborn skin, but absolutely recommend for 4/5months and older.

  • We love CUB nappies!!

CUB Nappy Pants have been a game-changer for our active toddler! The stretchy waistband and tear-away sides make changes a breeze, even when he's on the move. They fit snugly without sagging, and we haven't experienced any leaks thanks to the triple leg guards. Plus, they're incredibly soft and breathable, which is important for delicate skin. We love that they're award-winning and made with sustainable materials. CUB Nappy Pants have made our lives easier and kept our little cub comfortable and dry!

  • The. Best decision ever

We have not changed our nappy since her birth. Her skin is very sensitive and delicate. I scare to try anything on her. But this CUB changed my mind and it gives a real comfort even for the night sleeps . The best ever

  • Decent option

Thes are great if you are toilet training but as they don't hold a lot of liquid, I wouldn't use unless your child is using the toilet/potty most of the time.

We use them for quick trips to the shop, or a nap but not overnight.

  • Great nappy pants, rival others exceptionally

Soft, comfortable and absorbent. They fit well although I used size 4 as my size 3 toddler is a wriggler and it's easier to put on nappy pants rather than nappies. The elastic band was strong but also easy to rip off. They did not leak once. I also like the side frill, they look cute and serve a purpose for leaks and poo spreads.

Unfortunately the CUB brand do not make size 3 nappy pants which would certainly rival premium brands that do. This causes me to stock up on size 3 nappy pants of other brands when on special.

I also like the non stand out prints as they don't show through toddlers clothes.

An improvement I'd like to see is a sticky strip at the back to roll the nappy and stick keeping everything small and contained including the smell. This makes it easier to pack if no bin is around.

All in all I'd certainly purchase these again due to price point, design, comfortable fit and absorbency. These are just as good as any non premium and premium brands too!

  • Comfortable and convenient

Love the look and feel. Such a breeze to use versus traditional nappies for my nearly 3 year old. Doesn’t seem so hold as much capacity as a traditional nappy but that’s to be expected as these are nappy pants! Also if I had to change one thing I would love for there to have a sticky tab on the back so you can roll up and secure the nappy before throwing it away! Nothing like a nappy full of poo that will open up before you get the chance to bag it and throw it into the bin!

  • Better than expected

At first sight they didn’t look as high quality or even as appealing to the eye as other nappy pants brands but over continued nights usage they seem to be just as effective as any of the other brands

Sorry to say but the sizing was small so the tabs fell off and it leaked. I am sure if the size was the next one up it would happen. I don't know what more to say. Please fit the sizing.

  • Comfort and Convenience Combined

Comfort: The soft, breathable materials ensure that my little one stays comfortable all day (and night) long. No irritating elastic marks or uncomfortable chafing – these nappy pants are gentle on skin, allowing for unrestricted movement and play.

Fit: The elasticated waistband and stretchy sides provide a snug yet flexible fit, accommodating various shapes and sizes. Whether your little one is a wriggler or a crawler, these nappy pants stay in place, offering protection without feeling too tight or restrictive.

Absorbency: I was pleasantly surprised by the absorbency of CUB Nappy Pants. Even during overnight use or extended periods between changes, they effectively lock in moisture, keeping dry and comfortable.

Convenience: Perhaps the most significant advantage of CUB Nappy Pants is their convenience. The pull-on design makes diaper changes a breeze – perfect for babies/toddlers who refuse to stay still. Plus, the tear-away sides simplify removal, allowing for quick and easy changes on the go.

In conclusion, CUB Nappy Pants exceed expectations on all fronts. With their combination of comfort, fit, absorbency, and convenience, they have become a staple in our house. I would recommend giving CUB Nappy Pants a try.

  • Affordable day time nappy

As a mum of twins, nappies can be very expensive! These CUB nappy pants are at an affordable price point! They fit well, absorb well in the daytime, not one bout of nappy rash and they have been a life changer to the hip pocket... Why didn't I try these earlier?! I have found that they do not absorb as well overnight for my heavy wetting boy, so he has only been wearing these during the day, but no issues for my girl. Would be to see a plastic sticky tab added to them to help with clean up time, but otherwise I am blown away by the nappy pants for the price point!

  • Cost effective option

Cub Nappy Pants offer an economical alternative to brands like Babylove and Huggies. While they are budget-friendly, some users may find the absorbency not quite on par with the more expensive options. On the plus side, they have a stretchy waistband and tear-away sides. Recommended for parents who prioritise cost-effectiveness, but may require more frequent changes to ensure dryness.

How to choose the best lunch box for school

When you’re searching for a kids’ lunch box, take the time to work out what will best suit their needs. If you make the right choice and invest in a quality one, it will last many years.

  • Box, bento or bag? If your child doesn’t like different foods touching, a bento lunch box is a great choice. Also, think about whether they prefer cut-up or whole fruit; a bento is better suited to cut food, while bags and boxes suit whole fruit. Bags are fantastic if you like to pack separate containers, like smaller bento or snack containers.
  • Freshness is a must – An insulated bag or box will keep everything cool and fresh until snack and lunchtime. But you can also get boxes that come with cold and ice packs. Remember, kids’ lunches often sit at room temperature for up to 5 or 6 hours before they’re eaten, so insulation and coolness are important. Check out how to keep school lunches safe in the heat.
  • Easy-to-clean design – Check if the box is dishwasher-safe, or for lunch bags, if they’re machine-washable.
  • Leak-proof – The last thing you want is a soggy mess at lunchtime, so if buying a hard lunch box, look for designs that are leak-proof with proper seals.
  • Child-friendly – Depending on your child’s motor skills and independence, you may need to start with a product that’s simple to open and close.
  • The right size – We tend to pack way too much in our kids’ lunches, so think about how much realistically you’ll need to pack for your child when choosing the size of their lunch box. You may also need to consider the size of their school bags.

What to put in kids’ lunch boxes

Health professionals agree that kids need a good balance of lean protein, grains, fruit and vegetables throughout the school day. Skip the processed food and try to reach for whole foods that pack a punch in the nutrient department. Here are some great ideas:

  • Grilled chicken or turkey wraps with fresh salad
  • Crackers and vegetable sticks with healthy dips like hummus
  • Whole-grain pasta with cherry tomatoes and your choice of cheese
  • Zucchini slice cut into rectangles for easy stacking in an insulated box
  • Almond-meal slice with raspberries or blueberries – or both!
  • Vegetarian sausage rolls – these freeze well and make a great meat-free lunch when cold.

  • That lunchbox comparison table is handy to have. It helped me make a decision on which lunchbox to buy next for my daughter who is starting kindergarten. I needed to upgrade her lunchbox but wasn’t sure which way to go. The table helped me with my decision. I ended up going with the BBOX and have found a cheaper lunch bag from a department store that it fits in.

  • I do not know if anyone else has picked up on this or not, but every bag mentioned in the table above is a ‘designer’ brand. There are plenty of more affordable options that aren’t over $40. I have never spent that much on a lunchbox – even from Smiggle. The cheaper brands last just as well too.

  • Getting ready for the return to school has started to kick in so this was a timely read. We have the yum box and i love it, it is so easy for my daughter to open and close on her own. I find the lunch cooler bags also a great idea however some days depending on what else needs to go to school, they can be quite bulky to include in the school bag. I need to do some more research this year as i like the idea of being able to watch it in the washing machine, that is a clever idea.

  • Along with all of the other back to school products; there is also a good range of lunch boxes available for people to buy. It has been fun to see the wide range of bottles and lunch boxes that are available for the new year for school and for work.

  • Lunch boxes have come such a long way since my eldest was a kid, he’s now 26! There’s really a solution to everything from food heating, cooling, dividers, pockets etc etc. Lunch boxes are a real fashion accessory and so on-trend these days. I personally love the Bento lunch boxes. They save on plastic and separate different foods.

  • I am such a huge fan of Bento lunch boxes and Bento. Food should be so many wonderful things; including delicious, fun, colourful and nutritious too. Lunch is a favourite meal because the body is ready for some more calories and a boost of energy. Food looks so good in Bento lunch boxes.

  • So so many fantastic options! We use the montii co ones for our kdis and swear by it. Its lasted 3 years so far and still standing strong, like new since the first day using it. They are so durable and i find cleaning them to be the easiest for us.

  • There are so many great lunch box option out there indeed ! I’ve always liked the Bento style lunch boxes for my kids. It reduces the use of plastic lunch bags and packaged food which aren’t very good for the environment and it encourages to present a good variety of foods (which is not only better nutrition wise but lao to prevent our kids from getting bored with same foods all the time.

  • There are some really fabulous options here. So many variations of colour, shape and size. I love the bento style lunch boxes, so handy to keep food separate and eliminate the use of plastic packaging. The machine washable bags are a great idea too. They can get grubby so fast, this would be so much easier to maintain

  • This has gotten much easier since my kids hit high school – they have strong opinions about their lunch boxes, so I don’t have to think about it so much anymore! However, I am strongly in favor of bento style boxes regardless of their age. They’re easy to clean, easy to pack, and invite appropriate sized portions.

  • Great article! Our kids are so lucky, when it comes to lunchboxes, they really are spoilt for choice. There are so many to pick from. Regarding sandwiches, my eldest son, used to hate sandwiches for school lunches. It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered that he’d throw out his sandwiches in the playground bins. My son’s an adult now and he still hates sandwiches. He only likes “hot” lunches. So glad he lives on his own now and can make his own “hot” lunches just the way he likes them.

  • This is super useful article and thank you. I can see so variety of lunch boxes from every store. Always wonder which one would be more convenient to use by little hands. I love some of these lunchboxes to give it a try for this year. And then decide to go with suitable ones

  • Wow, lunch boxes have really come such a long way from when I was taking a lunch box to school. Feel old, like “back in my day”, but we were lucky to have options like are available now. While I like some of these designs, I feel like they aren’t super practical.

  • These lunchboxes are beautiful but are they really worth the expensive price tag? I have been through so many lunch boxes and bags over the years and found the best it to use an insulated lunchbox bag with ice brick and use small containers to keep individual items fresh and assessable.

  • I love the bbox lunch boxes. They are so reliable and tough when kids throw their bags around. Easy to wash and store. I have used the we can be tiny snackies at home too. The boys love choosing a certain animal shape. They wash well, are durable and great quality.

  • My kids are old enough now to pack their own lunches and I am so happy to see the great choices they are making. They take left over meals, cook food in the morning to take and now I am confident they aren’t throwing away sandwiches! I do have the chilly bags for them, I find they fit better into bags

  • Love our bento b.boxes. So easy to pack. I do however worry that they’re made of plastic, not metal….

  • My daughter uses a bento box now for work and sometimes an insulated bag in summer, but when she was at school it was a rectangular lunch box with no compartments. It was very easy to wash each day, just the box and lid, and it could still be filled with rolls/sandwiches and snacks.

  • Lunchboxes are so important these days. Back in my day it was a brown paper bag or the exact same lunch box that everyone else had and there were three compartments. Today its such a fashion statement and as much as the lunchbox itself is judged so are the contents.
