Hello!

Christmas is not here, but I have a friend who wants to organise to go to the Boxing Day Sales. I do not like queues or the push and shove that I have seen on TV. I adore my friend and will go with her but am hoping it is not as crazy as it looks on TV! I may have to find refuge in a coffee shop!

  • yeah the sales aren’t really anything special in my opinion. i went last year and yeah wasn’t that impressed. the christmas stuff wasn’t that cheap unless it was unboxed, damaged or loose stock. Not worth the big fuss that everyone makes over it every year. Just more hype so that you spend money! Think about it, christmas, boxing day and new year’s all in the same week and you are expected to spend a lot! no thanks

  • Thanks for your answers everyone and good advice. I will go as she wants to physically be there and participate. Will let you know how it goes! ;)

  • you can always shop on line!

    • I would second that. You can look up all the online sales on sites like TopBargains.com.au (Australian sales) or Redflagdeals (for US sales) or sign up for alerts from Myer, David Jones, Asos etc.. It’s simply not worth your time generally to actually physically go to overcrowded malls.

  • I have never been to the Boxing Day sales – but from TV footage, most of the mayhem appeared to be at store opening. Good on you for supporting your friend. Good luck!

    • Thanks for your words of encouragement! :)
