Hello!

I suffer from depression and I take tablets for it but recently I stopped taking them. There was no real reason for it, it just sort of happened. I also stopped taking my diabetes medication and I lost the script for my needle that I have twice a day so the other day I thought I would test my blood. A normal blood sugar level is between 5-8. Mine was 19.5. Way too high. I was at my psychologist yesterday and she helped me realise that as much as I look after my family I neglect myself.

I so want to look after myself so I am back on the pills and if I can’t find my byetta script I will get another one. I do suffer from depression and I do have diabetes and if I don’t look after myself I will make my children motherless and I lost my mother when I was 16 and I do not want that for my kids.

  • Most mums seem to put themselves last on the list and neglect the smaller things. I completely understand about your medication. It can just sometimes “happen” and things creep up on you unexpectedly. Take care and I hope all goes well for you in the future.

  • I am happy that you are back on your medication, it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

I tend to put my families needs in front of my own, and then neglect my own health and needs. I try to get out of bed an hour earlier than my children, have a shower, get dressed for the day, have a coffee , make my bed, just spend a few minutes in silence and then begin my day. It has helped me may help for you too xx
