I’ve been on the gluten free, sugar free, lactose free, grains free diet for a month and a half now and while i could convince any of my family members to go on this diet with me i’ve made a few healthy changes and they didn’t even notice. i stopped buying packed snacks, we hardly use sugar and take away now is once a fortnight compare to 2-3 time a week before. so because my diet is boring i try to find some fun, healthy alternatives for treats. while some were complete disasters i managed to find a few that stick with me, tasty and surprisingly easy to make, in fact my kids love them too. i’d like to share a few of them
if you want to make healthy ice cream without dairy or sugar put a cup of raw cashew nut in a food processor till its powder add a drop of vanilla paste and 5-8 dates, blend it with cashew powder add 1/2 of ice, whiz it up and your ice cream ready, you can eat it straight up or freeze it for later.
