Family Holiday

We went on a family holiday for 2 weeks a month or so ago and it was the best thing we have done. We haven’t gone away as a family for quite some time and my hubby needed some time away to relax from a stressful time at work. So we saved and went away to a place an hour and a half away for 2 weeks. After having so much time to relax my my little family doing fun things like going to the playground, the beach, riding bikes and scooter, doing a little sightseeing I wish we could do it every year. We get so caught up with everyday life that it’s nice for the whole family to go away and relax. I feel it has made our family closer and has given our kids some long lasting memories. We didn’t do anything lavish as budget would not allow. I still cooked and cleaned etc but you don’t need to do as much when you are away. I would thoroughly recommend to take time out with the family f you can. It’s the best thing we have done!

Sounds great, so glad you could spend this time together. You’re right, holidays don’t need to be lavish or expensive to be relaxing and enjoyable. Some of my best holiday memories are probably the most basic and ‘cheap’ ones, but they were what my parents could afford at the time, and we had a lot of fun. It was certainly better than being at home all the time!

It is good to take time out and have time away with the family. It helps to recharge the batteries and connect with family in a different environment.

Memories of time spent together as a family last for years and years, and they’re so precious. Kids grow up way too fast, and it’s great if you can occasionally take time out from busy lives to get away from familiar surroundings and have a bit of fun. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune either.
