Herb garden - Real Mum story on MoM

I’ve always had a few herb plants here and there however, it is only recently that I’ve started collecting seeds and propergating cuttings. I can’t believe how easy it is do, I should have done this year’s ago! I’ve saved heaps of money by not having to buy ready harvested herbs for cooking, seedlings or seeds. I’ve even started making ‘herb bowls’ to give to friends when it’s their birthday. The kids have even been getting into it and I’ve been finding random seedlings growing throughout the garden

My son made me window boxes out of our old guttering. I said I always wanted done after seeing Jamie Oliver use his on one of his cooking shows. Now I have some. Nearly one on every window with all the herbs I use regularly. I love it, it’s so handy, just open the window and snip snip……done!

I have parsley, chives and oregano growing in pots.

I get a bit slack when it comes to herb gardens. I love starting them but never seem to get a lot out of them. I’ve never been able to grow things very well I think that’s why I give up
