My baby has just turned one. She is walking quite confidently and doesn’t like sitting in the pram especially when shopping and we’re not moving. Today I was looking at some clothes and the store was quite so I let her walk around, she was nearby and I kept an eye on her. She walked over to the glass near the front door and as I went to get her the automatic door opened and went right over her hands. Luckily her hands are small and the door didn’t touch her. On the way home I kept thinking of what could happened and I feel so guilty, but at the same time I don’t want to wrap her in cotton wool and never let her out of my sight. I hope this post will comfort others who have had near misses, and also warn others of automatic doors!!
