Hello!

Just because it doesn’t often snow here in Winter, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a traditional snowy wonderland, with all the trimmings.

A month-long winter spectacular has arrived at the Hunter Valley Gardens just in time for the school holidays. Snow Time In The Garden runs from 19 June to 18 July and is packed with family-friendly snow-themed activities.

Test out your twirling skills on the ice skating rink, slide down a massive 45m long slope on Toboggan rings, and with unlimited wristbands for the rides, be entertained on the traditional Venetian Carousel, twirling Tea Cup ride and Swing Chair, and enjoy the 25-metre Ferris Wheel that overlooks the white snow-filled grounds.

Arctic Igloo

There’s also a magical walk-through chilled igloo filled with animatronic artic animals, as well as roving performers including adorable penguins, snow men and polar bears.

Snowballs

Make a snowball, carve out snow angels and compete in the ultimate snowball fight in the man-made Snow Play Zone and then feast on some delicious winter treats at the food stalls.

Icy Thrills

“Snow Time in the Garden is like no other event we hold here at the Gardens. Each year we see families revel in the snow and enjoy a range of thrilling and unique activities. This year, the experience is more immersive than ever, including an extended ice rink with a dedicated section for those under 6 years old, and skating aids available to hire for this age group. With our walk-through igloo, guests will feel transported from the Hunter Region straight to the Antarctic, and with the many snow-filled activities, attendees will feel immersed in an entirely different magical world,” said Srinivas Gopal, General Manager at Hunter Valley Gardens.

Snow Time in the Garden will be open every day from 9am – 6pm from 19 June – 18 July, 2021. Tickets start from $25.

  • Oh my goodness, I wish we could go to this. It looks like so much fun but I doesn’t look like hubby will have a few days off between those dates and I don’t want to drive that long only for a day.
I’ll have to make sure I bookmark this for next year if it’s on again so we can plan to go and get time off in advance.
Thank you so much for sharing. I’ll definitely be looking into it.
