Ah, toddlers – such sweet, innocent creatures who sometimes embarrass their mothers beyond all imagination. In an utterly mortifying moment for one mum, her daughter managed to broadcast her live on Instagram while in the shower. The horror.

Of course, because she hadn’t been humiliated enough, the mum has now shared the entire ordeal on TikTok, and since gone viral.

Brianna explained that she’d given her toddler her mobile phone to keep her occupied while she was taking a shower. Because: #mumlyf.

“I gave my toddler my cellphone to play a game while I took a shower,” Brianna explained on her TikTok video. “It was a preschool learning game that she plays often. Next thing I know she is knocking on my door asking me to help her fix something.

“I of course tell her to come in so I can help so she can keep playing. She hands me the phone while I am in the shower. I quickly realise that my phone is broadcasting LIVE on Instagram. In my hand. While I am in the shower.”

One follower asked Brianna how many people saw her in her birthday suit, and she replied, “No idea! I deleted it so quick I didn’t see any of that!”

Other parents offered sympathy by the way of similar stories. Cassi saying, “My foster son spent $6k on GoPros on Amazon.”

While Allie commented that her niece ordered 158 parfaits from McDonald’s through UberEats.

  • And this is why my kids aren’t allowed to touch my phone.

  • So pleased this wasn’t around when I had toddlers. Feel sorry for the mum though.

  • Haha one of my biggest fears

  • I have a fear that sometimes I’ve accidentally turned on Facebook live or something, or while using an app they can actually see your camera. Never give your kids a phone when you’re naked! Haha.

  • Oh wow! My son had his ipad yesterday facetiming his dad while I was on the toilet. I was yelling get out but soooo lucky it wasnt anyone else.

  • My toddler came into the public toilet with me and unlatched the door while I was on the toilet, despite me yelling at her to wait until I was done. The door is one which swings open so that everyone can see in!

  • This hasnt happened to me as my son doesn’t use screens… no mobiles or ipads for him & he doesn’t need them

  • How awful at the time for you.

  • Oh my gosh! Haha. Toddlers hey!! Can see how easily this could happen. I know my kids have had the iPad or I’ve given them my phone to play a game or watch something when I’m in the shower or needing to get something done, and they love clicking on all sorts of things!
This poor mum! Hope she can laugh as well eventually.

  • This is so funny! Omg kids! Won’t be handing my phone over while in the shower, that’s for sure!

  • Can’t say I’ve ever had this happen to me!

  • Luckily I never had a Mobil phone for that to happen to me.

  • Luckily my boys didn’t grow up when we could afford a mobile. I would have been horrified if they had done anything like this. The worst thing that happened to me was my sons coming home from school and finding Dad at home with Mum and the bedroom door was shut. He heard strange noises so they went to a friend of mine and asked to stay there until Mum and Dad were finished. He told her we were in bed getting intimate (not sure what words they used).

  • Not my kids. They only after dads phone not mine.

  • Oh my. The poor Mum. Luckily my children have never done anything like this.

  • Oh my gosh worst nightmare

    Reply

  • Oh no, sorry buy I am laughing my head off! Never had mobile phones when my kids were little, but I doubt I would have let them play with it if I did. Way too easy to get into the wrong thing and way too expensive to replace if damaged

  • This is a good cautionary tale.

  • I had a little giggle at that. Poor mumma.
