Hello!

Supermarkets have issued an urgent recall of Dairy Farmers milk, due to the fear that the milk contain the bacteria E.coli.

Lion Dairy & Drinks has announced the recall of its Dairy Farmers 1L Full Cream white milk products with a use by date of 25/02/2020 and its Dairy Farmers 3L Full Cream white milk products with a use by date of 24/02/2020.

The bottles were being sold in Coles, Woolworths and IGA in New South Wales.

The manufacturers have said that these particular milk products may have been contaminated with E. coli and could cause illness if the milk is consumed.

The E. coli bacteria can cause a number of stomach and bowel issues including vomiting, diarrhoea, and other ailments.

People who have bought this particular product are being asked not to drink it and dispose of it immediately.

Under Investigation

Lion Dairy & Drinks have said in a statement that they are “committed to the highest standards of quality and safety.”

“Consumers and customers can be assured that we are undertaking a thorough investigation and will put in place steps to mitigate it happening again.”

Refund

A full refund will be provided to consumers who have bought this product.

However, this recall only affects this particular batch of milk in NSW and does not affect other Dairy Farmers products or milk sold in other states.
