Woman Gives Birth DURING Her Abortion Consultation

A woman has given birth at an abortion clinic during her consult.

The baby girl was delivered by clinic physician Dr Bruce Norman at the Jackson Women’s Health Organization in Mississippi.

‘The whole thing happened within about a 20-30 minute span,’ clinic director Shannon Brewer told DailyMail.com on Thursday.

Ms Brewer shared as much as she could about the surprising event, without revealing any personally identifying information about the mother and child, who she said are both in good health.

‘Based on the appearance of the child that was delivered, it seemed as though the woman had come to full term in her pregnancy,’ Brewer said.

But Brewer said her team never had the chance to perform an ultrasound to determine exactly how far along the woman was into her pregnancy, because she went in to labor so quickly after arriving at the facility.

The mother had known she was pregnant for at least a few days.

‘[The patient] said she went to a hospital a few days before [coming to our clinic] and that’s when the hospital staff verified she was pregnant, but didn’t do an ultrasound to determine at what stage she was in her pregnancy,’ she said.

“She was quiet and seemed a little shocked, but not very talkative about it,’ she said. ‘But then, it all happened so fast that there wasn’t a lot of conversation going on.’

After the unexpected delivery at the Jackson Women’s Health Organization clinic on Wednesday, both the mother and daughter were transported to a local hospital where they were found to be in good health, according to Brewer.

Even if the woman hadn’t gone into labor, she still wouldn’t have been able to obtain an abortion that day.

In the state of Mississippi, there is a 24-hour waiting period required after an initial abortion consultation before a pregnancy can be terminated.

Sounds like one very determined little baby!

I don’t understand this story in terms of timing. Isn’t it only legal to perform an abortion up to a certain period of time, whilst she has gone a full 40 weeks of pregnancy. What a situation!

Wow, amazing. That little girl was supposed to be here. Hope she is well taken care of. I get so surprised when someone is pregnant so far along and doesn’t know it. I have know two women personally who only found out they were pregnant when they were 7 months along!

Abortion by a full term baby ??!! Sorry, but I’m just glad that it wasn’t possible. Bless this wee baby…unwanted ! Hope mums love is stirred or otherwise it finds a loving home.

It seems, if she was investigating having an abortion, she didn’t want the baby. I wonder what hapoens now, and if she’ll keep it or ‘get rid of it’ as she intended

I’m not against abortion but find it disturbing that this woman wanted an abortion for a full term baby!
