Woolworths announces new mini-collectible: Will you be playing along?

Woolworths has announced a new collectibles scheme, and this time it’s environmentally-friendly and a whole lot of fun.

Do you ever wish that grocery was this much fun when we were kids? Woolworths has announced a brand new collectibles scheme, and this is sure to be one the kids love. With each shop we’ll be able to collect bricks to create our own mini Woolworths store. This collection is their most sustainably focused collectible to date.

Woolworths Bricks will help customers at home build a replica of a sustainable Woolworths Supermarket featuring solar panels, Free Fruit For Kids baskets, checkout registers, car charging stations, trolleys and much more.

The bricks themselves are made from unexpected items, including swimming goggles. Your mini environmentalist will be thrilled that their new toy is making a difference. Woolworths Bricks have been made from at least 80% recycled materials, including refrigerators, swimming goggles and luggage handles. Woolworths Bricks are also compatible with other brands, so you can add them to your growing collection.

Woolworths Chief Marketing Officer, Andrew Hicks said: “As Today’s Fresh Food People we are committed to making changes for a better tomorrow. Through our latest collectible we’re taking customers on this journey with us by showcasing in a playful and creative way how we’re growing greener, not only in how we operate our business, but through the programs we engage with them on.”

Woolworths-Bricks-Packs

Customers will be able to collect Woolworths Bricks no matter how they choose to shop, whether you shop via Pick Up, Direct to Boot, online home delivery or in store. For every $30 spent, you can receive a Woolworths Bricks pack to build your own version of a Woolworths Supermarket store. There are a total of 40 Woolworths Bricks packs will be available to collect. You can also purchase a start kit that has a baseboard and front doors, starting at $6.

The launch date is yet to be announced, so watch this space.

I love that they are compatible with other lego brands and are made from recycled material.
I might just go out and f my way to collect all I can… for the kids Of course

These are way better then stickers or rubber fad toys. Lego is such a great classic toy and loved by most. I will be getting these for my daughter and hopefully they will be enjoyed by many generations

It’s good that they are trying to be more environmentally friendly and create toys that kids might not get bored by – but I wish they would do this for things we need – free fruit or other healthy products. I really liked the veggies and herb seeds they did. We have so much plastic in the world already!

I will be certainly be collecting these for my grandkids & if it gives them some fun I’ll save them up to play with here after lockdown has ended.
