Hello!

Putting fruit on pizza has always been a divisive topic. If you ask people whether you would eat pineapple on pizza, you’ll get some very very vehement “NO!’s” as well as some extremely decisive “YES’s”.

But celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has gone one step further…and probably way overstepped…by revealing that he puts grapes on pizza.

Goodness Grapeness! Is this for real?

Our favourite Naked Chef shared his favourite “secret ingredient” that he adds to his sausage pizza on the TV show Keep Cooking Family Cooking Family Favourites with his son Buddy, as reported in The Sun.

It’s A Match!

Oliver said that rosemary coupled with fruit is a “match made in heaven”.

But his controversial choice of pizza topping has sent waves of disgust throughout the world, with viewers quite vocal about his twisted taste-buds.

Oh No!

“The most shocking thing I’ve heard tonight: Jamie Oliver put grapes on a pizza. With sausages. That’s enough. I’m out,” said one former-fan on Twitter.

“Absolutely disgusted watching Jamie Oliver putting grapes on pizza,” said another.

“I’ve just watched Jamie Oliver put grapes on a pizza, I feel violated,” another viewer yelled.

There were still 17% who said YES! How???

The chef even put up a poll on his own Twitter account to engage the feeling towards grapes on pizza. Let’s just say the grapes were crushed.

I’ve never tried grapes on pizza but I haven’t tried it so I wouldn’t know if it tastes good or not.
I occasionally have pineapple on my pizza, and sometimes I’ll have corn, sometimes I’ll whisk an egg or two and pour it on top.
    Each to their own.

  • Fruit and savoury taste well together, do I don’t think this is such a strange combination

  • I think this has potential to be really nice. If you have salami or the like on a cheese board you often have it with grapes. Fruit and deli meats do go well together. I’m very tempted to try it.
