Great fun for the kids.

Material

  • 1 meter fabric
  • 60cm ribbon
  • 2 black buttons for eyes
  • 1 packet stuffing

Method

  1. Find a bright piece of material and draw a basic owl shape. You will need two sides so cut out 2 shapes. Then decide on you design. To make it simple you can use white felt cut in round circles for eyes and a black button for the pupil.
  2. You can also cut out of different material the owls wings. I would try using a plain piece of fabric for this and a clolourful piece for the owls body. Then sew all your eyes and wings on your owl. Then its time to sew your owl together. Make sure your fabric is inside out and sew around the outside leaving a small hole so you can stuff the owl when its finished.
  3. Then its time to stuff your owl. This is a good idea to get the kids involved and get them to stuff their own owls.

You can add ribbon or bows to make it personal .

Notes

This is a fun idea to make with the kids. They can pick their own material and help stuff their very own owl. My mum and I made this pillow for my daughters bedroom. It's a great way to brighten up a room. You can make this pillow simple and it will still look fantastic.
