Hello!

My mum and I found a large piece of wood at a building site that was unwanted and we decided to make this sign for my backyard. I must admit, I can’t take much credit for this one because my mum did most of the work.

Material

  • 1 large piece of wood
  • 1 you will need a jigsaw
  • 1 white paint

Method

  1. Its looks very effective in the backyard. You will need one large piece of ply wood. Then draw the sign you would like. Using a jigsaw cut around the edges and then sand to avoid any splinters.
  2. Then paint with white paint. But please make sure you drill this sign to a fence post or concrete in the ground to avoid injury to young children.

Notes

This is a great way to add some personality to your backyard.

  • A lovely project to have done with you mum and a recycled one to boot. Great job, I’m sure that if you used an exterior paint it will last long enough exposed to the elements.

  • How has this been going in the weather? Has the paint been enough to save it from deteriorating?
