Fitness influencer Ashy Bines has revealed the sweet name she’s given her second baby, and its beautiful meaning.

The personal trainer and businesswoman, who gave birth to a 9 pound 1 ounce baby girl on June 19, 2022, has shared that her daughter’s name is Tala.

“Pronounced like LALA or NALA but TALA ( for those asking),” Ashy explained.

“Tala meanings ~ Gold, Star, Story, Noble & Wolf Princess, little palm tree and pretty girl (only learnt this after we announced and which countries the meanings coming from! So so cool.”

Ashy has also shared intimate photos and video footages from the birth and the moments after.

Ashy Bines Shamed Over Belly Size

Ashy’s pregnancy wasn’t all smooth sailing, after she revealed she had been subjected to ‘mum hate’ over the size of her pregnant belly. She shared a post on Instagram, revealing she thought mum shaming was a thing of the past. “(It’s) something I experienced when I was pregnant 7 years ago with Taj but nope,” she wrote. “Already having mum hate come at me because of the size of my belly?,” Ashy continued. “Like there is a ‘right’ or ‘normal’ size to be? Everyone’s bodies are SO diff, carry diff, show diff and hold a baby differently. And I think EVERY pregnant belly is beautiful no matter what and something we should all be uplifting and embracing with each other, pregnant is literally a miracle and so special.” Ashy explained that she can’t how many comments and DMs she’s had saying how, “stupid, silly, dramatic etc I am for  ‘holding my belly’ when I don’t have one, but for me there is a little belly and there is a REAL HUMAN BEING growing inside and it’s something I’ll never get sick of feeling proud to show. “BUT for every negative there is hundreds of love, support and encouragement which I’m so grateful for my community (normally hate comments are not people who actually follow me).

Surprise pregnancy announcement

Ashy surprised her husband in November last year with the news that they were expecting their second baby. She shared an emotional video with her one million Instagram followers, capturing the moment that she showed a positive pregnancy test to her husband Steve on a family photoshoot. The 32-year-old and her husband celebrated the magical moment, with cameras capturing it all. Since the video went live Ashy shared an Instagram story, revealing she’s since watched the reveal over and over. “You guys have no idea how many times I’ve watched that video and I literally cry every single day,” Ashy said, in tears. “It brings me so much joy.”

Although their six-year-old son Taj was with them during the photoshoot, Ashy explained that he didn’t know what was happening, and told him in ‘another special way’ the next day. She also revealed that her family and friends were also filmed when they were told the news, and she has a reaction video ready to put together.

“That is going to make me ball my eyes out I reckon,” she added. “It was so special to have the time to spend with everyone and share it with them and see their shock.”

Ashy also explained that it’s been difficult to keep her second pregnancy a secret because she shares so much online. “Some days I have felt so tired or sick and I’ve still had to show up online … some days have been really, really tough.”

The fitness guru also said her second pregnancy had been very different to her first, and she happy she no longer has to hold her tummy in or cover up her ‘gigantic boobs’.
