My mum has been the only one here for me when I’ve been going through some really tuff health problems. I will forever cherish her for that.

My most cherished memories with Mum is cooking together, she had so much patience and knowledge that I owe her everything I know today and my family thank her every time that I cook dinner for them.

My most cherished memory with my mum is honestly just laughing on the couch together, enjoying each others company

Mum loved volunteering! She cooked for the Salvos in their kitchen serving hearty meals for the less privileged in our society. “People are all special!” She always said to us growing up. Her dedication and focus in helping others in need has shaped our lives in more ways than one!

Baking scones together on a Sunday afternoon

My mother passing me down every single one of her dessert recipes, as she says the way to anyones heart is through their sweet tooth! I’ve been making her desserts for over 20 years now, always reminding me of her.

I’ve always loved family history. Several years ago Mum and I went on a girl’s road trip in Victoria. We spent our time visiting relatives and cemeteries. Or is that relatives in cemeteries? It was a lot of fun and not something I expected to be doing with my Mum.

I love the memories of 4 generations getting together before my grandma died. my mum, her mum and my daughter beautiful days spent.

My mum was accidentally there for part of my labour with my second baby (my TENS machine broke and she just happened to have another one for her arthritis). Having her there rubbing my back for a little while calmed me down after the minor disaster of the TENS!

My most cherished memory with my mum is experiencing new motherhood with her by my side – I really have a whole new appreciation on how much she loves me and what she would do for me

I love every moment. But I think you get an extra special bond when you become a mum yourself. So introducing her to my beautiful son was an amazing moment I cherish.

We went to Hungary together, we had so much fun, just me and Mum.

Although we didn’t have much money growing up, once a fortnight (payday) mum would take us to the local chinese restaurant for dinner. Loved sitting with my mum and siblings talking and laughing. It seems like such a small thing but i looked forward to that dinner every single time.

My cherished memory with mum is when she’d just finished Chemotherapy recovering from Breast Cancer, and took us on a special weekend trip to the Gold Coast to celebrate. Although she was exhausted and in a beanie, she still went on all the rides with us at the theme parks!

Most cherished memory is the way Mum’s face would light up with a beaming smile when I went to visit in her latter years. So beautiful and something I will never forget!

Mum wrote a letter to my father. She asked me to read and post it to him. In it she thanked him for giving her three wonderful children and forgave him for hurting her. Even now thinking about it brings tears to my eyes, I was so proud of her!

I don’t have one because I was in foster care but my most cherished memory with my nan was the day I came to live with her. She setup my room with a new dress and shoes. She never stopped loving me ever since
