Mordecai my darling great nephew has the greatest and best Dad in the world. Ben is his name – he married a wonderful woman a few years older than him who already had 5 sons. At 44 she gave birth to Mordecai. Ben is the gentlest and kindest person I personally know. I am hoping that Ben will instill in Mordecai a love of reading as his Grandmother instilled in myself when I was barely able to read.

He shows my children how much he values me, and how much he loves them. He works hard, but never misses events that matter to them.

An unbelievably beautiful father, whose selflessness to ensure his two babies are provided with the absolute best is so admirably. How incredibly lucky we are.

My children’s father has been an incredible support, and this past year has truly revealed what an amazing man he is. He has provided palliative care for his own father and is now taking on the responsibility of caring for his mother, all while being a devoted dad to our three children, ranging from 18 years to just 18 months old.

I want him to experience his first Father’s Day without his dad in a way that allows him to relax and enjoy quality time with our children, feeling loved and cherished.

It’s important to me that he is celebrated and pampered on this special day, as he truly deserves it.

My girls have the best Daddy because he doesn’t just love them, he shows them every single day. He makes them laugh, listens to their little stories, comforts their big feelings and makes them feel safe, loved and completely themselves. My kids Dad works so that I don’t have to. He provides everything for us and has given me the opportunity to stay home with both of our small children. He still shows up for us every day – performing home duties such as washing cleaning and cooking as well. I couldn’t ask for a better person to be raising children with. He is such a great role model for my son and I just know that my daughter will grow up with high expectations because of how her dad treats her mum.

Books turned my husband’s life from a game of KEEPY UPPY into a full-blown DANCE MODE celebration. As a foster kid, he bounced from home to home and school to school, eventually being labelled intellectually disabled. He was still illiterate at 16 until I, then his girlfriend, taught him to read. That’s the quiddity of why books mean so much to our family. I’ve watched him turn his past into purpose, determined our children will never face the same struggle. Now we fill our home with stories, laughter and a little Bluey magic. For real life.
