Hello!

It’s back to school time again … and school holidays are almost over (cue mums cheering with excitement!)

School holidays means kids in the house 24/7 and whether it’s just your own kids, or you’ve had friends and family stay over the break – having more humans in the house more often leads to a messier home.

Often January is a time to reset, not only do you set new goals for the year (after the fun of the holiday season and before the kids go back to school) you also get your life and home in order.

If you’re anything like the team at MoM, you’ll clean out the drawers full of clutter, get rid of any toys the kids are no longer playing with, and sort through the clothes that no longer fit them.

To finish off (because no doubt the kids, pets and husband made a mess of the house over the holidays) you’ll give your home a deep clean, before heading back to work, so you’re feeling ready to tackle the new year.

Oates don’t want you to feel any messy burden, they want you to #LaughAtTheMess – because, whatever the mess, Oates will make it easy!

To help you #LaughAtTheMess Oates are giving five lucky MoM Members an Oates holiday mess cleaning kit so you can overhaul your cleaning cupboard for the new year.

There will be one major prize that includes a $500 Visa Gift Card plus an Oates Gift Pack to the value of $100. Oates are also giving away 4 runners up Gift Packs, to a value of approximately $100 each.

To enter this competition, simply share a photo of your holiday mess, and tell us when did you have to #LaughAtTheMess” these holidays? Feel free to add a photo with your entry as we know a picture always helps tell a story.

We can’t wait to read all of your entries – read a few yourself, it might just help you laugh at your own mess, because we know it’s inevitable – especially at this crazy time of year, heading back to school.

Please note this competition is open from 28th January 2022 until 28th February 2022 and is only available to members of Mouths Of Mums. Why pick me??
    1. I’m a seasoned 25 year Marketing professional and multi-reward winning reviewer and collaborator with many brands (such as Dyson, National Product Review, Nextbase Dash Cams, Sunbeam, Flo, Irvine Wines, Panasonic etc.) I’m often sought out to collaborate with brands. I have provided the best product reviews for many brands and am often thanked by multinational organisations for reviewing or promoting their products in the best possible light. Should MoM and Oates select me for this package I would accurately, concisely and persuasively articulate each of the features and the subsequent benefit to the user eventuating from each of the Oates products within. I also already own one of your mops. I would publish the review on a number of websites and any Oates would like to add.

    2. We are also a family often in the media (and with Herald Sun/Channel 9 contacts). We have featured on Channel 9 Today show, 9 News, A Current Affair (repeatedly), Herald Sun (repeatedly, cover page and within), Chanel 10 Studio 10 show etc. These appearances are nearly always in my home and feature products we own. Should we choose to feature in the media again soon it would be a great advertisement opportunity for Oates too..

    3. We genuinely are a young growing family with a great increasing need of Oates cleaning products! I have no choice but to #LaughAtTheMess often!!!

    4. We would genuinely be the most appreciative recipient and show our appreciation not only by publishing glowing reviews online in multiple places but also telling family and friends.

    5. We genuinely love Oates products and are long-time customers!

  • 3 young children, a bunch of crayons and a room I had just painted the walls white. You had to laugh they though the walls were paper !

  • Mess everywhere what bad the doctor ordered but laugh to ease the soul. Laugh your head off and keep it going to make the mess disappear or clone enough really

  • 2month old baby spat up all over the newly set table on Christmas Day

  • When renovating the kitchen

  • Chocolate all over faces from eating chocolate wafers!

  • The time I was toilet training our gorgeous new puppy. My neat freak mother-in-law was coming over and unfortunately stood in the puppies business. I was in hysterics. She….less so.

  • On our honeymoon we were in Naples in a dodgy looking hotel. Every time a tram went past the room would vibrate. We thought it was Vesuvius going off. Also one of the legs broke off the bed. It wasn’t caused by any abnormal usage.

  • Pretty much every second day, as it’s just non stop… as soon as I tidy something up, I turn around and something else is all over the place.

  • I decided to have a bubble bath and left Hubby in charge of the kids, not long till he fell asleep and the kids decided to make a pizza dough, flour and water all over the kitchen, there was glue everywhere the eye could see, I will reconsider take a bubble bath next time as it was not worth it.

  • Rain rain all it does is rain. The mess inside hurts my brain. Laughter is the best medicine to cure this mess. And when it stops raining I’ll use oats to make the house look it’s best.

  • Kids at home making mess with craft and a new puppy weeing on the floor, eeek!

  • I had to #laughatthemess when my husband attempted to make the family a Ginger Cake. I have to say it was delicious, but thankfully I had my Oates on hand to tidy up.

  • Full-time studying and all 3 boys home led to many laugh or cry moments. One such moment, I came outside to find all my gardens replanted on the concrete every boy nudie-rudie and covered from head-to-toe in soil. So proud of the garden they made. no plants were severely harmed.

  • We took the plunge and decided to do an activity we have always talked about – tie-dye! I ended up with psychedelic-coloured children. It added a lot of colour to our days – and plenty of laughs!

  • When miss 5 granddaughter opens a bean bag then opens back door so all beans go into the pool next door. Next door very unhappy so spent hours cleaning the pool, had to laugh or cry for hours. Lucky nanny loves her so much

  • When my 2 year old upended the container of Sultana Bran into my shagpile rug. I spent 2 hours on my hands and knees hand vacuuming it all up. 2 months later and I’m still finding sultanas in there! It was a laugh or cry kind of situation

  • My little boy randomly threw up in the car for the first time in his life and it was so disgusting I just had to laugh.
