Hello!

I’m always up for anything that gives me more bang for my buck when it comes to grocery shopping, and the app I just tried out has already rewarded me with $20 Cash Back that I can spend on groceries! Now that’s free groceries in my book! Not bad for just doing the shopping I was going to do anyway.

The IGA Rewards app gave me IGA Cash Back when I purchased selected products in my local participating store.

All I had to do was download the app, sign up and check my offers. It tells me exactly how much IGA Cash I get back if I purchase anything in my offers, and it doesn’t take long for the dollars to add up.

Once I’d earned $20 IGA Cash, I was able to unlock my Digital Visa IGA Rewards Card and spend it on eligible items in my next shop at my local participating IGA Rewards store. See – basically free groceries!

I also really like that the IGA Rewards program means I get member-only specials and personalised offers, based on my shopping habits. Each week new deals pop up in my app, and there are also amazing competitions – just make sure you’re always scanning your IGA Rewards card and you’re automatically entered.

I have always tried to support my local IGA store – knowing that it’s locally owned I feel like I’m giving something back. And now it feels like I’m being rewarded for doing my part!

Whether you already shop at IGA, or want to give it a try, it’s definitely worth joining IGA Rewards. It’s free, and available on Android or Apple and IGA Rewards Cash Back is available at participating stores.

  • Sounds amazing. I have the IGA card but I guess thats not really a thing now and the app has taken its place. I have no idea what the go was with the card as I never seemed to get anything at all from it. I guess the app is easier to keep a track of.

  • So I was lucky enough to get accepted for this trial and I must say out of my $24 purchase I got a whopping $7 cashback! That’s a pretty decent reward! I do recommended making a list of what cashback items you are going to buy before going in because they don’t have any signs in store advertising the cashback items so you need to know what items are on offer

  • The IGA Cash Back Rewards Program is very exciting. It’s very different to the other competitor supermarkets loyalty programs. I never would have thought IGA would have a loyalty program of this sort. I recently signed up and have done 2 x $60 shops. It’s satisfying to see the red cash back bar move from $0 for just doing your everyday shop. I have accrued $4.50 so far and I haven’t really tried too hard.

  • Iga had mostly been a small store with no membership programs or loyalty points so this is definitely a big step towards customer acquisition and retention. I have heard good things and the program and the range and quality of the home brand so looking forward to visit the store soon!

  • After participating in the IGA review, I am disappointed that there appear to be less IGA stores. I often prefer smaller stores over the large ones for convenience and ease of shopping. I was also impressed with the prices of the products purchased for the review and some are now favourites; just wish there were more IGA stores where I live.

  • This is a great bonus just for doing the shopping. I also like the personalized specials and members only deals.

  • You had me at free groceries!! Seriously though, I never really shopped at IGA until doing a trial of the black and gold range they stock. Now I’m more aware of how many products they stock and I’m hoping to speak to them about getting in some more gluten free goods. Definitely pays to shop local

  • Unfortunately and sadly; where we live many of the IGA stores have changed and appear to have been taken over with another brand name. It is much more difficult to locate an IGA store. We have found one nearby that we enjoy going to and it offers some very good deals.

  • Cash back rewards are such a great idea. I love things like this and will have to look into this further. Although IGA is not a preferred supermarket for me as they tend to be more expensive, i do occasionally shop their when i only need one or two items and it is always great to have one so close by.

  • Thanks for sharing ! Personally I don’t shop at IGA simply because there is not an IGA nearby us and than it becomes unpractical. Although I do sign up for reward programs in general I feel the danger is that you get lured into buying items you don’t need or usually don’t buy, in which case you actually do not save money.

  • I love things like cash back and finding deals! Anything to make your money stretch further is just smarter shopping as every cent counts! I love that it has its own app that makes it easy to track and monitor your cashback. IGA has really upped their game lately and its wonderful to see!

  • I’m such a target for these deals! I’m a member of literally every rewards program there is! Everytime we go in a shop and they ask am I a member my husband sighs because he knows I’m about to spend the next few minutes signing up lol! Hey if I’m already spending and I can earn points or cash back, I’m there for it!!

  • I have downloaded the app and checked out the cash back offer products. Some are quite generous. There are products with offers here that I a,rrady buy. There is an IGA not too far from where I live but I have always shopped at the other big supermarkets due to their competitive prices and loyalty programs. Now I’ve discovered IGA Cash Back, I’m excited to start shopping there. This might just be a game changer. Move over Flybuys and Everyday Rewards.

  • No criticism of this particular app or rewards program, but I am really over the number of apps companies are trying to force on me. I do not want 200 apps. They do not make my life any easier – in some cases they make it harder – and they don’t allow for how hard it can be to read little screens.
