The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first born child is inspiring parents across the globe to name their own new baby ‘Archie’.

According to Nameberry, the name Archie has attracted 50 per cent more page views than any other name.

Following closely behind Archie in the ranks is Milo, with Asher, Jasper and Silas close behind.

Theodore, Atticus, Jack, Finn, Oliver and Felix are also among the top ten names for 2019 based on the most viewed.

Prince Louis came in at number 32, with Prince George nowhere to be seen. Archer was also popular taking out number 42 spot.

  • My daughter made me watch Riverdale! So that’s where I first heard “Archie” being in the now name. I haven’t I stopped hearing that name since :).

    • You’re right. I’m a teacher, and I’ve seen them go and come back again. My children’s names are not on the lists. I can see the influence pop culture, TV shows, celebrities, royals etc. are having on new parents.

  • My boy’s name is in the top 100! Its the first time I’ve seen it on one of these lists. Looks like Em Rusciano has started something with Elio too.


    • It’s an Italian name. We have a friend with the female equivalent, Elia. It’s a beautiful name for a beautiful person.
