When you have bananas that aren’t being eaten and you need to use them up then this Banana Ice Cream is a great and simple way to make sure they don’t go to waste.

Once you’ve made your basic Banana Ice Cream you can add toppings, nuts or even a touch of cream to the mixture before freezing if you want to play with flavours. Children love ice cream and this definitely is a winner in our household. You don’t need more than one banana, use whatever you have!

  • I can’t see the actual recipe here but it has reminded me to go and dig out one I have somewhere that included dates. Banana is such a distinct flavor all of it’s own .

  • Is there an actual recipe for this? Or am I missing something? Love the idea though. One week my kids want bananas every day so I’ll buy heaps and the next they don’t so I often have bananas to use up. This would make a nice change from the muffins and bread.

  • Where is the recipe? I always have loads of over-ripe bananas. They’re currently filling up my freezer waiting for a smoothie to be made.
